The world’s happiest toothbrush ;)

Working closely with R&D teams at Colgate, PPT helped design and develop the new Pulse Series 1 and Series 2 smart brushes from the ground up.

In an effort to increase the feeling of accomplishment people had when brushing, we moved the timer lights to the bottom of the brush so that they are more intuitive and easier to see while you’re brushing. The iconic smile light celebrates a job well done and helps keep you on a clean streak. Instead of burying the brushing modes under a single button, we created a simple and satisfying switch.

And while its form is minimal, it perfectly highlights these upgrades in physical user experience. Plus, its angled shape was inspired by the symmetry between a brush and paste standing side by side.

The result is a toothbrush that embodies each of Colgate’s brand values:

It’s purpose is big-hearted.
It’s interactions are optimistic.
It’s simplicity is empowering.
